Four gunmen have shot 11 police officers – killing at least five – in a Black Lives Matter protest in downtown Dallas described by President Obama as a ‘vicious, calculated and despicable attack on law enforcement’.

One of the police officers killed in the attack has been identified as 43-year-old Dart Officer Brent Thompson. A second slain officer was named by his family as young father Patrick Zamarripa.

The shooters opened fire from ‘elevated positions’, picking off officers ‘ambush style’ as they manned a protest over the deaths of two black men – Philando Castile in Minnesota and Alton Sterling in Louisiana this week, police chief David Brown said. ‘Some officers were shot in the back,’ he added.

A gruesome video shows a heroic policeman taking on one of the gunmen, but being gunned down and shot again execution-style from point-blank range.

Three of the gunmen are in custody. A fourth man, who was engaged in a shootout with police from a parking garage at El Centro College, has killed himself with a shot to the head. The gunman told officers bombs have been planted across Dallas and that ‘the end is coming’.

Before the fourth suspect was ‘neutralized’, Brown said he told negotiators ‘the end is coming, and he is going to hurt and kill more of us and that there are bombs all over the place in the garage and downtown’.

However, police have now confirmed no explosives were found in two sweeps. The ‘massive’ crime scene can now be processed, Dallas Police Major Max Geron said.

A female, who was in the same area as the gunman who shot himself, is in custody, however Brown said: ‘We still don’t have complete comfort that we have all the suspects.’

Police said two people are being questioned after they were spotted speeding away from the scene of the shooting in a black Mercedes. An officer saw one of the pair hurriedly putting a camouflage bag in the back of the car before driving off ‘at a high rate of speed’.

In a statement from Warsaw, Poland where he is at a NATO summit, President Obama expressed his ‘deepest condolences to the American people’, and warned that he still didn’t know all of the facts of the massacre.

World War II History: Hitler’s Poison Propaganda Dwarf

G2

The last eyewitness to the inner circle of the Nazis has described the party’s propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels as a ‘ranting dwarf’ and a ‘big pig’.

Brunhilde Pomsel, now 105, was Goebbels’ secretary and got closer to the Nazi centre of power than anyone alive.

From 1942 on, she worked closely with Hitler’s agitator and seducer of the masses – the man who conditioned the Germans to hate the Jews and accept their deportations to an unknown fate.

Now her recollections of working for the Nazi monster are featuring in a new documentary.

Goebbels1

‘Her personal journey into the past leads to the disturbing question: how reliable is my own moral compass?’ said the filmakers of ‘A German Life.’

Until the movie was made she had never spoken of her service for Hitler’s propaganda genius who, together with his wife Magda, took his own life in the Berlin bunker on May 1 1945 after first poisoning their six children one by one.

He shot his wife Magda and then himself, but not before they killed their children because neither could stand the thought of them ‘growing up in a world without the Fuehrer in it.’

Frau Pomsel sat down in the Filmpalast cinema in Munich this week as the movie of her life spent in the service of a monster was screened.

But she could barely see it; she is almost totally blind. Instead, she listened intently to her recollections of the times interspersed with the manic ravings of the man who was her boss.

‘Goebbels was a big pig,’ she said. ‘I’ve personally done nothing evil, but I blame myself for being, at that time too uninterested in politics.

‘I was grown up enough to recognise how the guilty criminals lied. That was very, very stupid of me.’

From 1942 onwards she was working for 500 Reichsmarks a month for the man the masses called behind his back ‘The Poison Dwarf.’

Cartel Corner #69: Mini-Sub Caught Carrying 5.5 Tons of Cocaine

A mini-submarine carrying $200 million worth of cocaine was intercepted by authorities in the ‘Eastern Pacific Ocean’. Officials said they intercepted the semi-submersible vessel attempting to bring 12,800 pounds or 5.5 tons of cocaine into the US. The cocaine was on a mini-sub called a narco-submarine, vessels made of fiberglass that are extremely hard to detect using radar and are commonly used by drug traffickers.

Because much of its structure is made of fiberglass and it travels mainly below the water surface, it is virtually impossible to detect via sonar or radar. These vessels can carry a crew of at least four and dive down at least 30 feet below the surface.  A vessel’s design depends on how far they can travel. A mini-sub with two diesel engines, and sophisticated navigational equipment could travel long distances up to 2,000 miles at a speed of up to 11 miles per hour, according to IndraStra.

Narco2

A team of U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents based in Corpus Christi, Texas, detected the self-propelled vessel earlier this month while conducting counter narcotics operations using a P-3 Long Range Tracker, according to their website.

In the video, the crew operating the vessel attempted to flee as officials approached them. Agents arrested four people and attempted to seize the cocaine. But moments later, the sub, which officials said originated in the ‘Eastern Pacific Ocean’, became unstable and it and the cocaine sank to the ocean floor. The task force coordinated an interdiction of the semi-submersible with a U.S. Coast Guard vessel in the area while an Air and Marines Operations crew maintained constant visual surveillance.

The semi-submersible became unstable and sank. ‘This type of cooperation and teamwork produces these kinds of results where suspects are arrested and narcotics prevented from reaching U.S. shores,’ said Director John Wassong at the National Air Security Operations Center – Corpus Christi. ‘Our crews will continue to take every opportunity to disrupt this type of transnational criminal activity.’ It’s unclear where the mini submarine came from or how it came to be in the Eastern Pacific Ocean.

In the 2015 fiscal year, US Customs and Border Protection aircrews contributed to 198 seizure, disruption, or interdiction events in the transit zone, resulting in the interdiction of 213,000 pounds of cocaine in the 42-million-square-mile area they patrol. The Coast Guard caught a similar vessel carrying 12,000 pounds of cocaine off the coast of Central America in August and have previously intercepted almost 43,000 pounds at once, according to ABC News.  The latest incident comes a few days after a Jet Blue flight attendant abandoned 70 pounds of cocaine at airport security when she was selected for a random check in the known crewmember line.

  • John Ganobick was caught on surveillance cameras stalking the woman
  • He followed her into an elevator and attacked her in a parking garage
  • Ganobick got into her car and pulled out a knife and she pulled out a gun and shot him in the neck and buttocks
  • He was charged with attempted murder, kidnapping and criminal mischief

A Kentucky woman heroically turned the tables on the man who was trying to rob her at knifepoint by shooting him in the neck and buttocks with her own gun..

The unidentified woman was being stalked by John Ganobick on the night of January 26 when he followed her into a shopping mall elevator to the parking lot.

Exiting the elevator with her, he gave chase when she ran to her car and tried to beat her – leaving his victim fearing she would be raped.

But he quickly found himself on the receiving end of some rough justice when she pulled her Beretta gun from her handbag and opened fire.

Surveillance cameras played in court this week from the Fourth Street Live food court show the chilling moment when Ganobick began to follow the woman.

She told Louisville Metro Police she sensed instantly that she was being stalked.

‘The victim asked the suspect what floor he needed, and the victim described the suspect as being out of it, possibly high or drunk, but when he said the sixth floor, the victim stated she became nervous,’ states the police report read out in court.

Appearing in court sporting a breathing tube that is a reminder of his injuries after the attempted attack, Ganobick has been charged with attempted murder, robbery and kidnapping.

During the video, the footage shows the woman walking into the elevator where she is joined by Ganobick.

During the 13-second tride from the 1st to 6th floor, neither looks at each other.

‘When the elevator opened on the sixth floor, the victim state she began to run to her vehicle, which was parked about 10 spots away from the elevator. The victim stated the suspect gave chase,’ the police report states.

Louisville Metro Police said the woman noticed Ganobick following her in the food court around 6.15pm and he followed her to the parking garage.

She told police when the elevator reached her floor, she started running to her car, but he chased her.

The woman got in her car and he pushed in behind her and put his hand over her mouth, according to ABC 7.

Ganobick slammed her head into an unknown object, told her to ‘give me all your money’, and showed her a knife, the arrest report said.

‘The victim stated she was afraid that she would be raped or murdered and as she fell across the passenger seat of her vehicle, she was able to reach into her purse and grab her gun and attempt to fire a shot at the suspect,’ the report states.

During the violent struggle the woman, who was being held at knife-point, reached into her purse and pulled out a gun.

The woman told police Ganobick was thrusting his knee toward her torso and trying to push her into the passenger seat of the car, according to WLKY.

According to the woman she pulled the trigger, but the gun did not fire. So she kept on pulling the trigger till it did.

‘Fearing for her life, the victim kept pulling the trigger of her gun, which finally fired, and struck the suspect in the neck.’

He recoiled, but according to the woman, collected himself despite his injury and started to come towards her again.

‘The victim described being afraid that the suspect was turning to come back at her and she kept pulling and struck the suspect in the buttocks,’ states the police report.

Surveillance footage captured the man coming down the parking garage’s stairs bleeding from the neck.

A witness alerted authorities and called 911, according to ABC 7.

Police charged Ganobick with attempted murder, kidnapping and criminal mischief.

The woman he attacked suffered multiple injuries but was expected to be fine.

Evidence photos show police recovered a rusty steak knife from the stairwell. Police also recovered the woman’s gun. She had an Indiana concealed carry permit for the Gun.
