Hornfischer is in my top 5. It’s an amazing story of heroism and never say die grit in war. Never give up until the last round is fired and even then, if you have propulsion and steering, prepare for ramming speed! As a general rule, anything Hornfischer writes is worth your money, whether it be Neptune’s Inferno or The Fleet at Flood Tide, which I just recently finished.
