This happened in South Africa a few days ago. On this particular night, the man and woman were sleeping in different parts of the house, one upstairs and one downstairs. This was such a bad crime area, both of them slept ARMED.
When you examine the entire video, I think the fact that the couple just happened to have been sleeping separately this particular night, one upstairs and one downstairs, saved their lives just as much as them being armed. It is obvious the intruders intended to tie them up and do God Knows What.
This is also a lesson in never placing COMPLETE faith in a home security (alarm) system; as is obvious, the crooks bypassed it. For this reason, it is always good to have some type of “organic” alarm system, ie, a watch dog; and contrary to popular belief, you don’t always need a 150 pound Rottweiler; even one of those little pain in the rump “heel biters” or “yappers” work great as an early warning sentry system; which in this case, is what they needed.
Bottom Line: IT PAYS TO STAY ARMED!!
So, Stay Armed, Stay Alert and Stay Dangerous!
