County-Comm Spring 2022 Product Review

My good friends over at County-Comm have a few products they wanted to show off.

Please be Good Patrons and visit their amazing site today.

I have been doing business with these guys for a LONG time and the quality of their gear is unsurpassed.

Jumbo Parts Tray-Armorer-Non-Slip

Honestly, what man who tinkers and does his OWN work around the house does not need a quality tray to keep up with small parts? I got mine in International Orange so I can spot those small parts easily! As I have gotten older I have found I need to stack the odds in my favor any chance I get! 😎

Compact Trauma Shears (Gen 3) by Maratac

I have reviewed Maratac Shears before but these are the new Gen 3’s and are AMAZINGLY sharp and compact (5.75″ long). Seriously at this price you need to have a few of these. One in your Go-Bag, One in your VBOB and one for the House. Sharp shears are just a necessity for the practical prepper.

NFH – Neck, Face and Head Cover

The NFH Cover can be worn so many ways to provide protection to your neck face and head, Protect your face from UV, wind, cold, and those ever present judging eyes. Each NFH is made from 100% stretch spandex, making it light weight, breathable and soft. Each NFH is made extra long to give you that extra protection and wearing options.

Quick – Lock Poly Resin Hobbyist Hemostat – Gen 2

These are a must have for my fellow model hobbyist out there! The Quick – Lock Poly Resin Hobbyist Hemostats have a plethora of applications, making them an ideal addition to your workbench. Because of their unique composition, they are impervious to acid making them great to use when pickling and much more. It comes with serrated tips; giving the Plastistat super holding power without scratching, and since they are made of plastic, they may be filed into any shape desired. And, the looped handles were designed to make it easy for you to hold jewelry suspended in your ultrasonic machine, without you holding them.

Widgy Pry Bars

Who does not piece of curved heat treated D9 steel on his keychain or in his tool chest? Seriously, I have one of all sizes of these doo-dads and have used them multiple times for everything from scraping old registration stickers off the windshield to prying loose screws and nails. Utilitarian is an understatement!

Afterburner Glow Tag

One of the things I Love about County-Comm is they are always coming out with PRACTICAL gear for the PRACTICAL PREPPER/MARTIAL MINDED CITIZEN!  These Glow-Tags are awesome for putting on any of your Survival, Prepping or Camping Gear or anything else you want to find easily in the dark. Remember folks, when you need to find something in a hurry, chances are it will be in the dark!

Prepare Accordingly!

The Fenris Chest Rig – Moving Beyond Average

I am planning on building a Variation of this Rig for both AR-10 (.308) and AK Mags (7.62×39) and see how it works.

Admittedly, this design may only work with the AR-15 mag design and weight, but we will see.

Protecting the Noggin: Ballistic Combat Helmets for the Prepared Civilian

With things heating up it’s not a bad ideal to invest in a decent combat/ballistic helmet to protect that dome!

Texas based Diamond Age make some excellent ACH modular combat helmets that won’t break the bank.

Russian Roulette Gear and Swag Review

Some more gear and swag from my “brothers from other mothers” at Russian Roulette Clothing.

Do me a Favor and Patronize the Hell out of these Guys…they offer some truly unique swag and are some really good people in a world of pretentious snobs.

S.H.I.T (Sniper Hiding In Trashcan) Patch

A Unique Patch to slap on your gear to show your Individualist side and show that you truly give ZERO Fucks about making sense.

My M92 build

Circle 10 Extended AK Charging Handle

I have one of these on every AK I own.   It is one of the few after-market mods out there you can do to an AK that actually improves efficiency with the gun IMO. Truly makes working the gun easier and faster with or without gloves.

5.56 T-Shirt

Gotta give the .22 Calibers some love every now and then, right?

5.56×45 T-Shirt

OK, Double love for the .22’s, what the hell.

Stay Alert, Stay Armed, Stay an Individual and Stay Dangerous!

Gear Review: Spec-Ops Brand Field Shoulder Holster

Recently my Fellow Texans over at Spec-Ops Brand sent over their Field Shoulder Holster for me to Review. This is the kind of holster you would wear hunting, hiking or just roaming around in the back 40. Shoulder Holsters are great when you want to carry your sidearm but you want to keep your waist area free and clear. The Spec-Ops Shoulder Holster is designed with a “canted” holster which orients the barrel of your weapon at a downward angle. This differs from a Horizontal Holster which orients the barrel to the rear which could cause the wearer to “flag” a person standing behind you.

Here are the Specs:

  • Universal Design: This shoulder holster fits most common military and L.E. service pistols including; Beretta M9, Sig M11, 1911, & Glock.
  • Low Profile: The four point harness effectively distributes the weight of pistol and spare mags without adding unnecessary bulk.
  • Easy On & Off: The specially designed “yoke” and easily adjustable four-point harness system keeps the shoulder holster from twisting and speeds donning. The double release on the front allows the shoulder holster to be quickly removed.
  • Ambidextrous: The SPEC.-OPS.® Brand Shoulder Holster can be set-up for a right or left-handed shooter in a matter of seconds. No special adapters or hardware are required for this shoulder holster.
  • Safe: The “Tanker” style orientation of the shoulder holster body leaves the pistol pointed in a safe direction and makes drawing fast and smooth. No more worries about “flagging” the folks standing behind you.

The Magazine pouches are inverted and use velcro fasteners. They are big enough to accommodate any size single or double stack magazine easily.

The Four Point harness system spreads the weight evenly across the shoulders and back and makes carrying your firearm and mags for long periods of time very comfortable and lessens the chance for muscle fatigue.

Here is a picture I snapped with my G21 and 2 Mags. As many of you know, the G21 is a Big gun and the holster accommodated it fine. It also shows the front release buckle, which keeps the holster from flopping around.

Overall this is a great field shoulder holster for a multitude of uses. The Cordura construction makes it weather proof and tough and the design ensures the wearer remains comfortable.

Stay Alert, Stay Armed and Stay Dangerous!
