Crusader Corner: Islam’s Biggest PR Agent, Attorney General of the U.S., Loretta Lynch

loretta_lynch_012815.sized-770x415xt

Attorney General Loretta Lynch announced Sunday that the FBI would release transcripts of 911 calls that Orlando jihad mass murderer Omar Mateen made during his massacre. Lynch said that the transcript would include:

… the killer’s calls with law enforcement, from inside the club. These are the calls with the Orlando PD negotiating team, who he was, where he was.

However, said Lynch, there would be one significant omission:

What we’re not going to do is further proclaim this man’s pledges of allegiance to terrorist groups, and further his propaganda. We are not going to hear him make his assertions of allegiance [to ISIS].

Unaware of irony, Lynch added:

We’re trying to get as much information about this investigation out as possible.

But not, apparently, anything that might shed light on the ideology that led him to carry out the attack in the first place.

After saying that the Islamic content of the calls would be edited out, Lynch backtracked somewhat, saying:

We will hear him talk about some of those things, but we are not going to hear him make his assertions of allegiance and that. It will not be audio, it will be a printed transcript.

Lynch also mentioned another remarkable omission: the released transcripts would also not contain any statements Mateen made about gays. Not because the FBI was going to edit out those passages as well, but because Mateen didn’t say anything about gays at all:

You know, he didn’t get into that. So we’re still exploring why he chose this particular place to attack. We’re asking people who have information to come forward … We are trying to learn everything we can about this individual’s motivations.

Wow. Let’s summarize:

Lynch, and the Obama administration determined a priori that Mateen’s Islamic statements are irrelevant. She then made the announcement that the mainstream media’s — and Obama’s, per his speech — favored explanation of homicidal “homophobia” as  the motive is not supported by the killer’s own statements.

So now Lynch is casting about for some way to understand why he committed mass murder at the Pulse nightclub, because she can’t prove his priority was murdering gays — and she refuses to even allow you to know what he actually said his motives were: Islam.

Lynch dismisses the explanation right in front of her face: Mateen killed gays because he was an adherent of the Islamic State, and the Islamic State has called for attacks on American civilians during this Ramadan.

If Lynch wants to know why Mateen chose the Pulse for his attack (after scouting out Disney World), even though he said nothing about it during his 911 calls, she might consider that the Islamic State as well as many Islamic governmentsregularly kill gays, and reflect on the fact that Islam mandates that gays be put to death.

But she will not consider any of that:

We’re not going to … further his propaganda.

Well, she is — by definition — furthering someone’s propaganda: her own.

This is a turning point for the Obama administration. For years, it has been the official administration position that Islamic terrorism has nothing to do with Islam. Indeed, as I reported last week, the administration scrubbed counter-terror training materials of all mention of Islam and jihad in connection with terrorism.

But now it is going even further: a jihad terrorist explained his motivations in terms of Islam — and the administration dismissed them!

This level of denial and willful ignorance would be comical if it weren’t so deadly.

If our intelligence and law enforcement officials do not understand the motives and goals of those who have vowed to destroy us, they will remain unable to counter them effectively. Ignoring, denying, and now actively censoring jihadis’ stated reasons for why they kill also leaves the vast majority of the American public ignorant and complacent regarding the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat.

Contrary to her assertions, Lynch’s absurd decision plays into the hands of the jihadis themselves. They are killing Americans for the ultimate goal of destroying the U.S. government and establishing an Islamic state here which enforces Islamic law.

Islamic law forbids criticism of Islam, as does Loretta Lynch.

Last January, a convert to Islam in Philadelphia named Edward Archer shot and seriously wounded police officer Jesse Hartnett. He then explained:

I follow Allah. I pledge my allegiance to the Islamic state. That is why I did what I did.

Jim Kenney, the mayor of Philadelphia, said the following after releasing a surveillance video of Archer in Islamic dress and shooting Hartnett:

In no way, shape, or form does anyone in this room believe that Islam or the teaching of Islam has anything to do with what you’ve seen on the screen. … It is abhorrent. It is terrible and it does not represent the religion or any of its teachings. This is a criminal with a stolen gun who tried to kill one of our officers. It has nothing to do with being a Muslim or following the Islamic faith.

Perhaps Kenney was angling for a plum position in the Obama administration, or in a subsequent Hillary Clinton administration. Certainly he and Loretta Lynch see eye-to-eye about their fundamental duty in the wake of any jihad terror attack: do everything possible to ensure that people do not have a negative — or even accurate — view of Islam.

Serving as Islam’s PR agent should not, in a sane world, be part of the responsibilities of the attorney general, or the FBI, or the mayor of Philadelphia, or the president of the United States. Their responsibility is protecting Americans.

In redacting the relevant material regarding Omar Mateen’s motives from the transcripts of his calls, Lynch and the FBI are derelict in that duty.

Crusader Corner: Arrest the Widow, Investigate the Family!

Salman

The Orlando jihad mass murderer was anything but a “lone wolf.”

Noor Salman, the wife of Omar Mateen, the Orlando gay nightclub jihad mass murderer, has gone missing, and with good reason: she explodes the idea that Mateen was a “lone wolf” terrorist. She should be arrested – but now she is gone.

Salman witnessed him selling his house to his brother-in-law for $10 – a clear indication that the couple knew jihad was in the offing. She has admitted to law enforcement authorities that she and her husband had recently been “scouting Downtown Disney and Pulse [the nightclub where the jihad massacre took place] for attacks.”Mateen texted her during his massacre, asking if she had seen the news; she responded that she loved him.

As authorities deliberated over whether or not to arrest her, Salman herself showed more dispatch. Last Wednesday, the killer’s father, Seddique Mir Mateen, told reporters that Salman was “no longer here.”

No one seems to have asked Seddique Mateen himself where she has gone, but he probably knows. There are, after all, numerous indications that he may not be as upset about his son’s jihad massacre as he has claimed: he is an open supporter of the Taliban, and the morning after the murders, he posted online a video in which he claims that he was “not aware what motivated” Omar to “go into a gay club and kill 50 people,” but then he adds: “God will punish those involved in homosexuality,” as it is “not an issue that humans should deal with.”

Despite Seddique Mateen’s professed puzzlement over his son’s actions and denial that Omar had been “radicalized,” is it really any wonder that a man who grew up in a household in which the Taliban were held up as positive role models would turn out to be a jihad terrorist? Omar Mateen is known to have cheered at school when al-Qaeda flew planes into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001; is it likely that his father, a supporter of al-Qaeda’s allies and collaborators the Taliban, rebuked him for doing so?

While not revealing where Noor Salman is, the family issued a statement saying: “Noor is completely innocent and [was] unaware of the attacks.” It added the claim that she is unable to comprehend “cause and effect.” The mainstream media, always anxious to exonerate Islam from responsibility for the crimes done in its name and in accord with its teachings, even dragged out Salman’s middle school teacher to say: “Noor had difficulty with retention, she had difficulty with conceptualizing, understanding, all challenges to her. She tried hard. She was very sweet.”

All that may be so, but Noor Salman is an adult now, and her difficulty in middle school is irrelevant to whether or not she aided her husband in preparing for his jihad massacre. She should have been arrested, and the whole family needs to be investigated. Former Department of Homeland Security official Philip Haney responded trenchantly to common media claims that Mateen was “self-radicalized”: “As though nobody knew anything – that’s completely preposterous. If you know anything about the Islamic worldview, family and community is ultimately central to everything they do. The concept of operating alone is anathema to the Islamic worldview. They just don’t do it. So, self-radicalization – what does that even mean any more? Nobody is self-anything in this world we live in.”

Yet the feds let Noor Salman slip through their fingers – and whatever Muslim community in which she is hiding now isn’t calling the police to alert them of her whereabouts. Was the FBI too complacent in its politically correct dogma that Muslims in America all hold to a benign, peaceful form of the faith, and that any Muslim in the U.S. who becomes a jihad murderer must have been “radicalized on the Internet,” to be too concerned about the possibility that Omar Mateen’s family was complicit in his attack? How long will it be before Seddique Mateen and the rest of the family absconds, as did Noor Salman?

The Orlando jihad massacre was eminently preventable: the FBI questioned Omar Mateen but deemed him unworthy of close scrutiny, even after a gun shop owner reported him; agents didn’t even bother to visit the shop. This was after Mateen bragged to coworkers about jihad ties, but the FBI called off investigation, dismissing the coworkers as “Islamophobic,” and after Mateen threatened to kill a sheriff and his family, and the FBI dismissed the threat. Now they have let Noor Salman slip through their fingers. Would it have been “Islamophobic” to arrest her? And how many more Americans have to die before the politically correct fantasies that hamstring law enforcement today are discarded?

Crusader Corner: Terrorist Who Killed Police Officer In France Had Been In Prison For Recruiting Terrorists

Combine this story with the story of the Orlando Shooter being interviewed 3 Times by the FBI and not even being put on a “Caution” list and I would say our Counter-Terrorism efforts across the globe are SUCKING RIGHT NOW, BIG TIME. And we all know the pathetic reason why no action was taken by Law Enforcement in Both Cases: They were all scared of being labeled an “Islamophobe”. It’s sickening, but it’s TRUE. Political Correctness helped kill those 49 people in Orlando and this Police Commander and his wife in France, and it will continue to KILL people until someone has the BALLS to say enough is enough and start sealing the borders and deporting these scumbags back to their flea holes.-SF

An ISIS-linked news agency claimed Monday that the man who attacked and killed a French police officer and his wife in a Paris suburb was acting on behalf of the militant group, though French officials told Le Monde they were still investigating the motivation for the attack.

ISIS’s Amaq news agency cited an unnamed “source” as saying the attacker carried out the attack on ISIS’s behalf. The wording was similar to a statement released by Amaq in the wake of the shooting attack in Orlando over the weekend.

The attacker, a French national identified as 25-year-old Larossi Abbala, was convicted in 2013 as part of what was described at the time by French prosecutors as an al-Qaeda linked logistics cell that recruited and helped transport French fighters to Afghanistan and Pakistan for training. He was sentenced to three years in prison.

Released in 2015 after serving just under two and half years, Abbala was then added to a watch list of people believed to be terror threats and tagged for monitoring by domestic intelligence agencies and the national police, according to French officials speaking to the local media. This was confirmed to BuzzFeed News on Tuesday by a lawyer who represents the victims of terror attacks in France and Tunisia. The attorney spoke on the condition of anonymity, as they are involved in a current court case linked to the 2013 arrests.

With an estimated 11,000 names currently on the French watch list, French and European Union authorities have repeatedly stressed that it is impossible to track all of the names at all times, according to a French intelligence official interviewed last month in Paris. It takes around 20 trained police officers to monitor a single person around the clock, leaving the job well outside the capabilities of any democracy, the official continued.

French media identified the police officer as 40-year-old commander Jean-Baptiste Salvaing, while his wife was identified by the office of President François Hollande as an employee of the Interior Ministry. Her name was not made public.

Salvaing was stabbed to death outside his home in Magnanville on Monday, according to Pierre-Henry Brandet, an Interior Ministry spokesman who briefed reporters at the scene. The attacker then retreated into the home where he found Salvaing’s wife and a 3-year-old child. When French elite police commandos stormed the house, they found the wife and the attacker dead.

“The toll is a heavy one,” Brandet told reporters. “This commander, this police officer was killed by the individual … [and] we discovered the body of a woman. The assailant, the criminal was killed. Thankfully, a little boy was saved. He was in the house. He’s safe and sound. He was saved by police officers.”

Although officials said police killed the attacker when they stormed the residence, it was unclear how the woman was killed, or what the couple’s precise relation was to the rescued child.

Hollande condemned the attack as an “odious act.”

“Light will be shed on the circumstances of this abominable drama whose investigation, under the authority of justice, will determine the exact nature,” he said in a statement.

Denial of Jihad and Fear of Islamophobia Killed 49 People, Not Assault Weapons with High Capacity Magazines

ORLANDO, FL - JUNE 13: Flowers and an American flag are seen on the ground near the Pulse Nightclub where Omar Mateen allegedly killed at least 50 people on June 13, 2016 in Orlando, Florida. The mass shooting killed at least 50 people and injuring 53 others in what is the deadliest mass shooting in the country's history. (Photo by Joe Raedle/Getty Images)

This is a combination of excerpts from two articles by John R. Schindler.

Jihad Denial Kills…Again

America just suffered our worst terrorist attack since 9/11. We need to start talking honestly about the enemy that keeps butchering Americans.

Tonight we burn illusions. A terrorist attack on a popular gay club in Orlando, Florida in the middle of the night ended before the dawn with the violent deaths of at least 50 innocents and the maiming of 53 more. This was the bloodiest terrorist attack on America since 9/11. The Pulse nightclub, something of an icon in Florida LGBT circles, was transformed into a charnel house.

The United States had been lucky, having avoided truly mass casualty terrorist incidents since that awful day 15 years ago, through a combination of luck, inept enemies, and excellent intelligence work. But the Orlando horror demonstrates that attacks on soft targets in public places can cause huge numbers of casualties, here as well as in Europe, like last November’s assaults on Paris that killed 130 people, 89 of them at the Bataclan theater, where a hostage situation resulted in a bloodbath. Something similar has just happened in Florida.

While the Paris attacks were the work of nine terrorists, plus several others providing logistical support, so far only one killer has been identified in the Orlando atrocity. While there are reports of other shooters, these remain unconfirmed, and the sole terrorist definitely involved was Omar Mateen, born in this country in 1986 to immigrant parents from Afghanistan. He was killed by police at the end of the nightmare he inflicted on Orlando.

So far, his story is shaping up as the now-customary list of jihadist clichés. The 29-year-old went from a relatively normal American life towards extremism, winding up on the radar of the FBI more than once for his aggressive beliefs. A brief marriage failed, in part because he frequently beat his wife, she claims, asserting that Mateen “was not a stable person.” A trauma like divorce leading to an embrace of jihadism is as common as can be in extremist circles.

The Road to Orlando

A clear picture of what exactly happened in Orlando in the pre-dawn hours of Sunday is slowly emerging. While reports persist of more than one shooter, these remain unconfirmed, meaning that Omar Mateen killed more than four dozen people by himself over a three-hour period. Since it took nine jihadists to kill 130 people in Paris last November, and several of those murderers were veterans of the Islamic State’s jihad in the Middle East, Mr. Mateen appears to have been a significantly deadlier ISIS killer than usual, despite his complete lack of combat experience.

The enormity of that death toll at Pulse nightclub has something to do with the fact that Orlando police waited until 5 a.m. to send in their SWAT team to save hostages – a decision that was at odds with normal police procedures in active shooter situations and appears to have been an error that cost lives.

That said, it’s important to place blame where it really belongs: on Omar Mateen and any helpers or co-conspirators he may have possessed. Although progressives are chanting their usual mantra about gun control being the solution to jihadism, creating heat rather than light, it’s fair to ask why on earth Mr. Mateen had an AR-15 rifle after being questioned by the FBI twice about possible ties to extremism.

Just as we should ask why he remained employed with a security firm that did significant work for the U.S. Government, we should be concerned that Mr. Mateen bought an AR-15, a near-military-grade weapon that surely did the lion’s share of the killing on Sunday, just days before he became the deadliest mass murderer in American history. The legalistic answer – that he had been convicted of no crime and the FBI’s investigations into Mr. Mateen never went very far – is correct but unsatisfying when 49 innocent Americans are dead.
