Texas Approves Disaster Carry Measure, Houston Chief Angry

BTW, Houston Police Chief Acevedo is a butthurt DEMO-Rat who among other things besides being an enemy of the 2A is also a fan of having a Police State (funny how those two go together isn’t it?) Three months ago He allowed on his watch a botched no-knock warrant drug raid that killed 2 innocent people.

Yeah, let’s listen to him when it comes to disarming citizens!🤬👎

H/T Bearing Arms.

This measure will cut down on looting in Texas during a natural disaster.

Any bets Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo is a butt-hurt DemocRat?

In the wake of a disaster, life can be tense.

It wasn’t all that long ago when my hometown was devastated by Hurricane Michael. We went days without power or telephones. While our cellphones worked, charging them could be challenging. There was no way to call for help if we needed it. What’s more, the bad guys in the area knew it as well.

The state of Texas has had its own experience with such disasters, having dealt with Hurricane Harvey which caused horrific devastation. Texas got hit a whole lot worse than we did, as we all know.

Now, Texas has passed a law allowing open and concealed carry without a permit for a week after a disaster area is declared. The…

bugle-cavalry

It’s a simple and yet heart-rending melody.
It is only 24 notes long.
It always puts a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye.
It will also cause me to weep unashamed.
Most people have heard “Taps”, even if they don’t recall the name.
Most people, also, know no history of the famous song.
After the Seven Days Battle in July, 1862, General Dan Butterfield and bugler Oliver Wilcox Norton reworked a bugle call known as “Scott Tattoo” to create “Taps.”
“Taps” was first used during the Peninsular Campaign of 1862 when a gunner from Battery “A” of the second artillery was buried.

As the battery was in a forward wooded area close to the Confederate lines, the traditional three-shot volley was unsafe as it would have given the enemy a good idea of where the battery was located.

H/T AmmoLand.

An armed man is a citizen; a disarmed man is a subject.  President James Madison.

Delusional DemocRats do not care.

The Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights of the U.S. Constitution is unique; no other nation on earth trusts its citizenry; thus, no other nation on earth, but the United States, will dare place trust in an armed citizenry.
Vote Against Socialism

Democrats seek to reconfigure the Nation into a societal collective, a dictatorship of a kind; one that many on the Left euphemistically, slyly, and disingenuously, refer to as “Democratic Socialism”.

New York – -(AmmoLand.com)- No other Nation on Earth accepts the notion that its citizens—in many instances today, as in times past, more in the nature of “subjects of the realm” and less true citizens—have an inherent, independent right to keep and bear arms. But, the founders of our Nation conceived Americans as individuals who…

H/T Gun Powder Magazine.

Hopefully, gun owners in Colorado will be successful in recalling and throwing these bums out of office.

Colorado’s Democratic Secretary of State, Jena Griswold, has approved a first wave of recall petitions in an effort led by Republican and Conservative groups attempting to recall a handful of anti-gun Democrats from office.

“The message that the Democrat Party should receive is that voters trusted them to move at a moderate pace,” Colorado GOP Chairman Ken Buck said during an interview with Marshall Zelinger. “Instead, the Democrats have promoted gun legislation that has frustrated a lot of voters.”

Values First Colorado, a political committee run by Joe Neville, brother of House Minority Leader Pat Neville, said the group is targeting Sen. Jeff Bridges (D-Greenwood Village) and Rep. Meg Froelich (D-Englewood) for their support of the state’s recently passed red flag gun confiscation bill.

H/T War History OnLine.

R.I.P. Private James Albert Hard July 15, 1841 – March 12, 1953.

He had a long and very interesting life.

One of Hard’s uncles served in the American Revolutionary War, while some of his grandsons and great-grandsons served in the Second World War.

One of the greatest periods of rapid change and immense upheaval in human history, in all areas – politics, culture, technology, art, nations – took place from the early part of the 19th century to the middle of the 20th.

This epoch saw the introduction of such immensely transformative technologies as flight and electricity, the internal combustion engine, rail, and huge socio-cultural changes like the abolition of slavery, the industrial revolution, women’s suffrage, civil rights and the birth of ideologies such as communism and fascism, which would lead to wars across the globe.

This period also saw the biggest and deadliest wars in…
