Dose of Truth: Dallas Police Ambush Was A Domestic Racist Terror Attack

COPS

Let us call this ambush in Dallas what it is.  A domestic racist terror attack aimed at white people and white police. From abcnews.com:

One of the suspects in the ambush-style shootings in Dallas that left five police officers dead overnight told a hostage negotiator he was upset about the recent police shootings of two black men and he wanted to kill white people, especially cops, Dallas Police Chief David Brown said at a news conference this morning.

Seven hours after the first shots, last suspect was shot and killed.
The groundwork for this sort of attack has been laid by the Obama administration over the last seven and a half years.  The Obama administration has been quick to fan the flames of anti-white racism in the black community.

The Obama administration has been quick to blame racism for incidents that later turned out to be completely justified and unrelated to racism.  When proven wrong, they have never retracted their statements or backed off of them.

When has the Obama administration apologized to Darren Wilson, the white police officer who was totally vindicated in the Ferguson shooting of Michael Brown?

The Obama administration never apologized for their characterization of George Zimmerman, who was totally exoneratedin a court of law, with the deck stacked against him by the Obama administration and their allies in the old media.  Zimmerman is of mixed race heritage.  The Obama administration could have stated that he was found not guilty and that continued attacks against him were shameful.  They tacitly encouraged the verbal assaults.  No arrests were ever made of the people who made death threats against Zimmerman.  A bounty was placed on George Zimmerman’s head by the New Black Panthers. President Obama remained silent.

This administration has allied itself with Black Lives Matter, a radical anti-police, anti-white, racist group that has been repeatedly associated with calls for violence against the police.  Representatives of Black Lives Matter have been invited to the White House numerous times. To Black Lives Matter, white lives do not matter.  It is a virulently racist organization.

The Obama administration is famous for its “apology tour” around the world, blaming the United States and previous white presidents for the ills of the world.  That show of weakness has resulted in the strengthening of our enemies all over the globe.

A similar situation has been created in the black racist community with the way Black Lives Matter has been coddled and approved of by this administration, no matter how racist they have been, no matter how vociferously they have chanted for the deaths of police.

At every opportunity, the Obama administration has blamed the United States and white people for the percieved injustices of the world.

It has been quick to blame Second Amendment supporters and the NRA as each terrorist attack has occurred.  I predict that the domestic, racist, terror attack against police officers in Dallas will be used as an excuse to push for more  infringements on the Second Amendment and to attack the NRA.  It will be used to  attack due process and the Bill of Rights. It will be used as a crisis to further the Obama administration’s agenda.

President Obama piously intones that he is disgusted by the ambush that took five innocent police lives and wounded several others.  He need only look in the mirror to find someone to blame.

RKBA News: The HALOS App That Shows Location/Concentration of Gun Carriers

Halos

Would you like to know if other legal gun carriers frequent the same areas that you do?

An iphone app is available.  Android users can be put on a wait list. From halosforce.com:

Halos is a revolutionary app for the exclusive use of individuals in the United States who have their state-issued concealed carry handgun license or otherwise fulfill the concealed carry eligibility requirements in their state of residence and are 21 years or older.

Halos anonymously allows members to see the approximate location of other members on a map. A member’s specific location is obscured (without revealing either identity or exact location). Members are not able to communicate with other members.

The premise of the app has merit.  The idea is that people can make known that a non specified gun carrier is in the general area.  The specific location is deliberately obscured.  The app allows gun carriers to obtain some of the advantages of open carry while retaining some of the advantages of concealed carry.  People who look at the app will have an idea of gun carriers in the area, and their approximate locations.  The app will only apply to those who sign up.

If a fair number of people sign up, it will give some indication of where legal gun carriers tend to be.  It is not any sort of registration or tracking device that is useful to the government.  Why not?

If you have a concealed carry permit and a cell phone (remember you have to have a cell phone for this app to work), the government can already track you.

They can track you far more accurately than this app does. They can do it all the time your phone is turned on, whether the app is on the phone or not.

All cell phone companies track your location whenever your phone is turned on.  Several circuit courts have ruled that obtaining the information from cell phone companies does not require a warrant.  To think the NSA cannot recieve it in near real time requires some sophisticated naivite.

If you have a concealed carry permit, the government has access to your telephone number.  Correlating concealed carry permits with cell phone records is childishly simple for today’s computers.

If you worry about being tracked because of some app that you signed up for, you overlook the obvious.  If the government wants to track concealed carry permit holders, it is already doing so.  If it isn’t tracking them, it is because no one has decided to do it.  It does not need an app.

The government already has access to  everything it needs for the tracking. The difference is, if you have the app, and the government wanted to have the records of the app, they would be legally required to obtain a warrant.  No warrant is required for what they already have.

If you live in a “Constitutional” carry state, and do *not* have a concealed carry permit, then the government could possibly get a warrant for the names and telephone numbers of the people who have the app, and track you when they would not have before.

They could as easily obtain the names of people who purchased ammunition or guns, who rented time at a range, who visited gun friendly sites on the Internet.

They would not need a warrant, if a credit cared was used.  The information on commercial transactions is sold and traded all the time.  Google collects lots of information on commercial transactions, and ties it to you.  To think the government cannot access those records is very trusting.  If the government wants to track a certain phone number, they can do so.

Aside from government tracking, there are real concerns.   Private parties who sign up for the app might be able to figure a way to track you with it, or find you, in certain circumstances.  I do not worry about private parties as much as I worry about corruption in the government.

The app has limited usefulness.  It might be amusing.  It could provide a bit of education.  I might even sign up for it. The app is fairly cheap.  The amusement factor might be worth the price.  If you sign up quickly, it could be free.

Membership is free for the first 100 people in each state, after that members will pay $1.99/year. In the near future, Halos will offer a view-only version to the general public for an annual fee as well.

If I sign up, I will not be worrying about the government doing what they can already do without the app.

We have lost any privacy protections we had in terms of the government and phone metadata.  If you do not want to be tracked, put your phone in a portable faraday cage. You cannot remove the battery on most iphones.  A metal ammo box would probably do the job, if it doesn’t have holes in it.

Other than that, when your phone is on, assume you are being tracked.  The data is already out there.

RKBA News: Vet With “Evil Semi-Auto Rifle” Saves Eagle Entangled in Tree

E1

Jason Galvin spotted an eagle that was entangled in a bit of rope in a tree in Minnesota.  It had been hanging there for two days.  He told his wife, Jackie.  She thought something must be done.  But the authorities, the Department of Natural Resources, the Sheriffs Office, City Hall, the Fire Department, the University of Minnesota Raptor Center, didn’t.  They all gave her the same story. They were tied up in red tape.  No one could do anything, too much liability.  The eagle was already dead.

The only thing they did not say, was “What difference does it make?”

But the Galvins knew different.  Jason is an excellent shot.  He really did serve in Afghanistan.  He thought he could use a semi-automatic rifle, the popular Ruger 10-22, to free the eagle from the tree.  Fortunately, the authorities agreed to allow a private citizen to act when they were paralyzed. Once Jason suggested the idea, Jackie insisted on it. He did the shooting.  She did much of the coordinating and support.

E2

It wasn’t an easy shot.  It was actually about 150 shots.  But who needs more than seven, right?  The wind was moving the branches, there was little clearance between the eagle and the branch.  It took perseverance and marksmanship, but Jason was up to the task.  He finally shot through the branch, about two inches in diameter, and the eagle fell from its entangling, deadly predicament.  It was taken to the Raptor Center.  They named the eagle Freedom, and the Center says it will make it.

Those evil semi-automatic rifles are only good for one thing.  Oops. They are good for a great many things. From cbslocal.com:

“It was weird shooting in the direction of a bald eagle,” Jason said. “I was very nervous. I didn’t want to hit that bird.”
Battling leaves, branches, the wind and a mid-afternoon sun, Jason took shot after shot trying to break through the branch and the rope. He never thought he’d use his military training for something like this. His persistence paid off as the branch, the rope and the eagle all came free.

The rifle Jason used is banned in Australia and England, because it is a semi-automatic.  It isn’t banned in America. Yet. But Jason borrowed the rifle he used from a neighbor, because it had a better scope than his did.  That would be illegal in Washington State, where the Universal Background Check (UBC) law was put in place last year.

You see, Jason and his neighbor did not drive to a federally licensed dealer and have the rifles serial number and all his personal information and his neighbors personal information recorded to transfer the rifle.

That bit of red tape would probably have been enough to finish off the eagle. The borrowing of the rifle would have been illegal in Washington State.  It will be illegal in Nevada and Maine, if the Bloomberg paid for referendums demanding UBCs in those states pass.  UBCs are just code for Universal Gun Registration. From Jackie Galvin, Jason’s wife:

A neighbor at the cabin drove by and borrowed Jason his .22 as it had a better scope than Jason’s. It was windy and he only had about 4″ of rope to shoot without hitting the eagle. As he assessed the elements of the weather he took a couple of practice shots to ensure the sight was on target. It was. He began shooting at the rope.

An hour and a half later and 150 bullets, the eagle broke free from the branch and fell 75′ into the trees of the woods.

E3

It is nice to see a patriotic couple use their initiative, shooting skills, and perseverance to do something the authorities, with all their power, money, and organization, could not do.  The Galvins were not paralysed with bureaucracy.  They acted.  With a rifle. Borrowed from a neighbor. They saved an eagle.

E4

Here is the eagle, Freedom.  It would be dead if they hadn’t acted.  And all the authorities would have let it die.

After all, what difference does it make?

RKBA News: British MP Murdered with “Homemade” Gun, Knife

MP1

A British Labor MP has been murdered when she intervened in an altercation between two men, one of whom has been reported to have mental issues.  Witnesses at the scene reported that the gun used appeared “homemade”.  A knife was also used.  The MP was reportedly shot three times and stabbed several times.  From uk.businessinsider.com:

An eyewitness report given to the BBC said that Cox was attacked after becoming involved in an altercation between two men.

“There was a guy who was being very brave and another guy with a white baseball cap who he was trying to control and the man in the baseball cap suddenly pulled a gun from his bag,” the witness said.

The gun was “homemade” and large, according to multiple reports.

From sky.com:

“It looked like a gun from, I don’t know, the First World War or a makeshift, handmade gun. It’s not sort of like the kind of gun you see normally.”

From spiderfinance.com:

Another witness told Sky that a man in white, dirty baseball cap
had been jostling with the MP before pulling out a gun. The gun
was “homemade,” according to multiple reports.

Given the  low level of firearms awareness in the U.K., I have doubts about the witnesses ability to discern whether the gun was homemade or not.  On the other hand, homemade guns are fairly common in the U.K. because factory made guns are so tightly controlled.  A third possibility is that the gun was modified from a factory long gun or a replica or blank firing gun.

That a British MP was murdered by a mentally ill man who had a gun and a knife in his bag illustrates the failure of gun control in England and Wales.

The only previous MP who was shot was in 1812, when the Prime Minister, spencer Percival was assassinated in 1812. From independent.co.uk:

Serious attacks are rare, although that doesn’t make them much less frightening. They have been an infrequent, out-of-the-blue shock since the shooting of Spencer Perceval, the only Prime Minister to have been assassinated, in 1812.

That was with a .50 caliber  muzzleloading single shot pistol, which is not even being considered by gun control advocates. There were no percussion caps invented at the time, so it was likely a flintlock.  Not a single MP was shot during the entire history of modern firearms before “gun control” was instituted in England and the Wales.

It will be interesting to see actual pictures of the weapons used.  They often appear in the UK press.  I have not seen any pictures of the weapons yet.

Update: A single witness alleged that the attacker yelled “Britain First”. There were several people nearby when the attack occurred.  Area residents say the attacker never showed any interest in politics.  It seems more likely that the witness’ prejudice are in action here, instead of the attacker’s.

The campaigns to keep the UK in the EU or to leave it have been suspended, but the referendum will take place as scheduled.

A Time to Fight for Freedom and the Constitution

Korean-men-defending-Koreatown-during-the-1992-LA-riot

By Dean Weingarten

In 2012, nearly four years ago, after the shooting at Sandy Hook, the future of the Republic and the Constitution looked dim.  We had seen a President who disdained the Constitution, who flaunted his power, who had the media on his side and a Congress that conspired with him, be re-elected.  This happened in spite of numerous scandals that should have resulted in his impeachment.

It appeared the seeds of severe European type gun control were going to pass Congress.  Leaders among Second Amendment supporters were grim.  Some said that we could not win. Some claimed that the best we could do was to  compromise and hope to mitigate the damage.  They were wrong.  It took enormous hard work.  It took determination and guts.  But we won.

The Gun Owners of America were steadfast.  The NRA held firm.  No more infringements on the Second Amendment.  Tens of millions of activists across the nation made our case in emails, tweets, essays, comments, and discussion boards.  We sent overwhelming numbers of phone calls and emails to our representatives.  We were right and we won. No more infringements were passed in Congress.  A couple of Democrat states, financed with Bloomberg money, fortified with dirty tricks, passed some evil measures in a couple of legislatures.  Patriots have steadfastly refused to comply.  In a dozen other states, Second Amendment freedoms are being restored.

Now we face another daunting battle.   This time, the odds have improved. We removed some weak sisters in the Congress who claimed to be on our side.  The President who wants us disarmed has seven months in office, not another four years.  The presumed Republican nominee, Donald Trump, has made support of the Second Amendment a major theme in his campaign.  Just as important, the old media cartel has been weakened.  Many people see how it has been advancing its agenda with lies and through manipulation. It is not as hard for a majority to understand how much we have been lied to and mislead.  For the first time in 50 years, a majority of Americans equate guns with safety instead of fear.  Since 2012, 50 million guns have been added to the private stock in the United States.

It makes absolutely no sense, after a successful Islamic terror attack that killed 49 people and wounded 53 more, to call for the disarmament of Americans. Yet that is exactly what Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton are calling for.

The rifles they want to take from us are precisely those most protected by the Constitution. Rifles that are the most useful for spontaneous citizen militias, as expected by the Second Amendment.

They are the type of firearm that is least used to murder.  Twice as many people are killed with hands and feet as are killed with rifles in the United States.   Of all the murders in the United States, only 2% are committed with rifles.  Sport utility rifles, that the President and the Democrat nominee want to ban, are only a fraction of those.  They are about 10-20 percent of the rifles in the country, and are increasing in popularity daily.

Sport utility rifles are the most popular rifles in the last 10 years.  They are selling like Ice Cream on a hot August day in Florida.  They are semi-automatics, similar to rifles that have been sold for a hundred years. They are the rifles that the present administration and Democrat candidate want to take from you.

It is time to fight; not with rifles but with words.  I pray that we never have to fight with the rifles.  It is far better if we win with words. We have the facts, the culture, and the Constitution on our side.  We are winning this fight, but we have to fight if we are going to win.  Similar to the horror attack in Orlando, if we do not fight back we lose.

You can and must join the fight.  See an article that claims that guns are not useful for self defense?  Make a comment.  There are plenty of facts available on the Internet for you to use.  Hear that your Congresscritter is waffling? Let them know that you will not tolerate it.

Be polite; it empowers your words more than cussing or other angry rhetoric.   See that an entertainer or commercial enterprise has bowed down to political correctness and the two minute hate of Second Amendment supporters?  Let them know that you will not support them.  Be polite.  It is a force multiplier.

Use sarcasm, cartoons, humor, and satire.  Our opponents need to be laughed at.

Use social media to spread the truth.  Do not let the disarmists take over the means of communication, as they have in the past.

Yes, it is a tough fight.  Yes, our adversaries have money, power, the major media, and the power of fraud and lies.

We can beat them.  We have done it before.  But, we will not beat them if we do not fight!
