If you are walking down the street and some dude pulls up in a vehicle and starts getting out BEFORE the vehicle is stopped!? Yeah, pretty good chance that dude is up to no good! If you are armed, now is the time to draw. If you are not, now is the time to beat feet and haul ass! Yeah I said run!!
Peachtree Corners, Ga. – Gwinnett County police are now releasing video from a home invasion at the 3500 block of Spring Drive that happened around 4 a.m. on Sept. 16th.
The Homeowner can be seen charging at the men and opening fire, ultimately hitting and killing one. The deceased was later identified as 28-year-old Antonio Leeks.
The video shows that all three suspects were armed and because they are not wearing masks officials are hoping someone recognizes the remaining two who are currently still at large.
Most Rural Southerners are Salt of the Earth folks. They will go out of their way to help you. But make no mistake, they are HEAVILY ARMED and will defend their lives and property to the last bullet. Choosing to break into their homes therefore is one of the most dumb-ass things you could ever do!
Needless to say there seems to be a rash of Home Invasions in Rural areas all across the Deep South right now and if you live in any of these area, the time to prepare was yesterday.

Installing an Alarm System and CCTV Cameras is never a bad ideal, however, NEVER rely on an alarm system to Notify and/or “Protect” You (I say this because of how many “Urban Sheeple” believe this!)
Although Irwin suggest Keeping weapons “concealed” near entrances/exits in your home, for some folks due to having kids in the house, this is not an option. Best option here is to stay armed 24/7 and have ability to keep a weapon close while you sleep.

Extreme Close Quarters Shootings (Bad Breath Distance Encounters) are more frequent than most civilians or even Law Enforcement train for. Make it a point to make this part of your training every time you hit the range.
A Smooth Presentation of the weapon enabled the officer to put rounds on target efficiently. Practice every part of your draw-stroke with your carry holster and street clothes that you would wear everyday. Remember SMOOTH IS FAST and that combined with the perp being distracted for a split second is what enabled the officer to get the shots on-board and into the pump house.
The comment about Strong side carry (around 4 o’clock) being better than Appendix Carry (11:30 to 12 o’clock) in this kind of situation is extremely subjective and biased IMO. The same shot could have been made with Appendix carry if you practiced firing from “less than ideal” situations, which in reality should be practiced with any carry position because the street is unforgiving unlike the square range!
At 1:11 we see the officer rack the slide after his first shot has been made. Not sure if this was a malfunction clearance or just adrenaline kicking in and the officer was making sure the gun was in battery and ready to go?
At 1:13 we See the officer needing to make another shot because the perp was not completely down and was still armed. REMEMBER: KEEP SHOOTING UNTIL THE PERP IS NOT JUST DOWN BUT HAS STOPPED BEING A THREAT!
