It appears people in Chi-Raq have reached their breaking point in being VICTIMS of the rampant, unchecked thuggery and since the City and State make it an Act of Congress to carry a firearm for self-defense they chose the next best lethal weapon: a KNIFE.
I say Bravo. Keep Stabbing!
The more 15 year old black ghetto hoodlums you send to the morgue the better off your city will be.
In the future, you might consider putting some heads on spikes just to make a statement to would-be criminals.
As Jeff Cooper famously said: “If violent crime is to be curbed, it is only the intended victim who can do it. The felon does not fear the police, and he fears neither judge nor jury. Therefore what he must be taught to fear is his victim.”
A while back Ed Calderon did a piece with Shawn Ryan on EDC (Pocket Dump) and Improvised Street Weapons or weapons you will typically find people living or working in the streets carrying besides firearms. This could be anything from a simple box cutter to a screwdriver to a sock filled with spark plugs (to break windows for vehicle theft) or a sock filled with ball bearings (for a homemade SAP).
Ed also covered a very important point about how street people do not obsess about “brands” of weapons or the “tactical look” of something for it to be effective. For example, a simple Pioneer Woman pairing knife you can purchase at Wal-Mart for around $8 can be just as effective as a stabbing implement as a $200 Emerson Commander.
Just food for thought there.
Understand that pretty much anything can be used as an Improvised Weapon if need be.
What makes most of these weapons listed here so dangerous is their ease of availability with them being common TOOLS. A box cutter, a screwdriver, a hammer or even a hatchet, any of these items are available at your local Wal-Mart, Home Depot or Harbor Freight without need of ID or a background check.
Box cutters have a nasty reputation on the street and with law enforcement for good reason. They are easy and cheap to come by. You can obtain a very basic model at Wal-Mart for around $3. I once ordered some window tint for my home windows and the box cutter they sent with the kit was so small I could palm it in one hand! Make no mistake box cutters are cheap, easy to obtain and easy to hide…three things criminals (and terrorist) look for in a weapon! Remember the 9/11 Hijackers? They used box cutters and pepper spray.
Ceramic knives andCeramic Razor Blades are another nifty thing criminals like to carry. As you might have guessed, they don’t show up on a metal detector machine or wand and are as razor sharp as the real thing.
Make no mistake a dedicated mentally unbalanced person (or group of persons) armed with knives can do massive damage in a crowd full of distracted zombie sheeple staring at their phones.
If you carry a Handgun for Self-Defense you should dedicate a LARGE block of your monthly training to knife attacks.
They happen more frequently than you think and due to Hollyweird and Fantasy Gunfight Training most armed civilians and sadly a large percentage of law enforcement have no clue how to properly deal with them.

They are two of the most Practical/No bullshit pieces of training regarding how to “deal” with violent street knife attacks.
Just remember: A Knife is a TOOL above all else, not a play pretty or something to show off to your friends.
Choose the TOOL that is right for the Job.
My 2 cents: I have never had any luck with tanto blades for a serious work knife, be it a folder or fixed blade.
The tip is brittle and not made for serious work. Bottom Line: The design of a Tanto is made for stabbing not a work knife, so keep that in mind.
If I could have one blade type for an all around knife I would choose the Drop Point. Yeah it’s an old design but there is a reason for that: It works.
