In Memoriam: Philip Kerr

It’s a sad day readers.

One of my all time favorite Historical crime fiction novelist, Philip Kerr, has Passed away at 62 after a battle with cancer.

Kerr invented one of my all time favorite sleuths, Bernie Gunther.

His novels were set in and around Germany during WW2 and into the early years of the Cold War.

I urge you if you have not read any of his books, to pick up his first three novels called Berlin Noir, if you like a good who-dunnit combined with absolutely spot on WW2  and Cold War History, this is your man.

Gonna miss you Mr. Kerr…you were a huge inspiration to a fledgling crime writer and blogger.

Go Rest High on that Mountain.
